Mid-Winter Solstice 2010:

Living up its reputation as one of the best ultimate tournaments of the year, this year’s Mid-Winter Solstice proved to be another great success - with 10 teams and approx 120 players participating. The Ultimate was of a high standard and from all reports players loved the gourmet food provided.

Congratulations to "Midget Executioners" who proved too strong for the 2nd year running, beating the Hills team in a close final.

Hills Hoist

This is the beginner tournament run by Hills Ultimate each Spring. It is a one day event where beginner players are organised onto teams with experienced players to help guide the team. It is held at Eric Mobbs Reserve (Excelsior Avenue, Castle Hill).  All new players welcome. The price is normally $20-25 per person - this includes lunch, the days competition, and prizes.

The 2009 Hoist was held on Sunday, 20 September. We had approximately 50 players take the field in 4 teams. Good spirit was shown by all players with several new players learning the basics of the game and having fun on a lovely spring day. We hope the beginners that played will get involved in the upcoming Summer league. Thank you again to Hari for running the day with the help of Tim, Paul and Richard.

We would also like to have plenty of experienced players there to impart their knowledge.
