Wet Weather

Sports fields can be closed from time to time due to wet weather. Grounds are more likely to be damaged when they are very wet and can take a long time to recover. Playing in wet weather can also be dangerous to players due to additional slips and falls. The grounds may be closed by the Council or the Club, and sometimes due to late notice if there are sudden changes in weather.

Follow these simple steps if there is wet weather around:
  1. Assume games are on even if there has been some rain
  2. An email will be sent by 3pm to registered players if the fields are closed and games cancelled
  3. If you do not hear anything then games are on as usual
  4. If you are unsure, visit the council website: http://www.thehills.nsw.gov.au/sports-ground-updates.html
  5. As a last option, text the League Director - Ben Dougall - on 0415 052 085 and he will confirm.
